The story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory takes place in a chocolate factory. Charlie inherits owning the factory from his father, but despite being unhappy about it, he does not have any plans to change it. It was one of those things that were always there so he figures its best to leave well enough alone. But as the story goes on, Charlie discovers a secret door in his father's attic and begin to have dreams about a chocolate factory, a boy named Willy Wonka, and a golden ticket. In July 2011 it was reported that Burton had brought aboard "Dark Knight" screenwriter David Seltzer to polish the script. The film was confirmed to be a musical. On 20 October 2012, Warner Bros. announced that they had hired Danny Elfman to compose the score for the movie which was released on 23 March 2013. In December 2013 it was announced that Nathan Lane and Eric Christmas would be joining the cast. In February 2014, a film titled "Untitled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Project" was revealed, with a working title of "Chocolate City. The film is set to be released on 31 March 2015 in 3D. On 15 January 2015 it was announced that Wyatt O'Brien had been cast in the film as Willy Wonka. In mid-April 2015, Burton stated that there will be no Broadway musical adaptation of the story for this version of the project.
